RELEASE DAY BLITZ - Fall With Me by Jennifer L. Armentrout (Excerpt & Giveaway) @InkSlingerPR

We are so excited to bring you the Release Week Blitz for Jennifer L. Armentrout's, also known as J. Lynn’s, FALL WITH ME!! FALL WITH ME is a New Adult Contemporary Romance and is a part of Jennifer L. Armentrout’s Wait For You Series, published by Avon Romance. We love this series and can't wait to start reading Roxy and Reece's story!

  FWM Teaser 1
  FALL WITH ME Synopsis:
Eleven months ago, bartender and weird-shirt-wearing extraordinaire Roxy and Officer Reece Anders had a one night stand. Well, kind of. She’s been in love with him since she was fifteen, and he wishes that night they shared never happened. She’s sworn him off forever, but the past and future collide, forcing her to rely on the one man who broke her heart not once, but twice.

Her best friend since birth has been in a long-term care facility since he became a victim of a hate crime years ago, and the person who put him in there is out of prison and wanting to make amends with him and Roxy. She’s not sure she has room for forgiveness in her and when she begins to receive frightening messages and is on the receiving end of escalating violence, she thinks she knows who is to blame. The man who already destroyed one life already.

But Reece isn’t convinced. The threats are too personal, and even if Roxy doesn’t believe him, he’s not willing to let anyone hurt her. Including himself. He’s already messed up more than once when it comes to Roxy and he’s not going to let history repeat itself.

FWM Teaser 4

Someone—was it Melvin?—catcalled as Reece led me down the hall, and my cheeks flushed. “Okay, heman, I can walk all by my little self.”
He cast a look over his shoulder at me as he opened the office door. “I’m sure you can.”
Then he pulled me inside.
My gaze flipped to the roses—the roses!—but before I could say a word, he closed the door and my back was pressed against it, his hands planted on either side of my head and his face right in mine. Like right there, within kissing distance.
“So, I was at my father’s place in New Jersey most of the day, and you know, he lives out near the Pine Barrens, so service is shit.”
I nodded even though I really wasn’t processing what he was saying as I was too busy staring at his mouth. Those lips, fuller on the bottom, drove me to distraction.
“I pull out of his driveway and I have all these messages from Dennis,” he continued, and I finally caught on to what he was talking about. “I honestly thought he was messing with me at first.”
I cringed. “He . . . um, he wasn’t.”
He shot me a bland look. “That much I figured out.” His hands slid on the door, stopping just shy of touching my shoulders. “What did he do to you?”
“What?” I blinked.
“What did that bastard do to make you throw a book through his windshield?”
Oh. Oh. My heart was now wiggling along with my stomach. “He really didn’t do anything. I just lost my cool. He wanted to talk to me, and I didn’t want to talk to him.”
“You don’t have to talk to him.”
“That’s what Dennis said, but I shouldn’t have damaged his car.”
A muscle flexed along his right jaw. “That’s true.” He shook his head. “Damn, Roxy, can’t say I’m surprised.”
My brows flew up. “You’re not?”
He laughed under his breath. “Babe, you’ve always had a hell of a temper on you.”
Ah, that was kind of true. “Is that a good thing or a bad thing?”
Reece cocked his head to the side. “A sexy thing, but vandalism and destruction of property doesn’t look good on you, sweets.”
“No. It doesn’t match my manicure.” I raised my hands, flashing him the blue nails.
He laughed again and then he sobered up, just like that. Cop Face was on, and yeah . . . the low coiling in my stomach told me I found Cop Face arousing. “You’re lucky. He could’ve pressed charges, and this conversation would be going in a whole different direction.”
My own half smile slipped off my face. “I know. It’s . . . I was just with Charlie, and he’s . . .” Unable to continue, I forced a casual shrug I didn’t feel. “What are you going to do with me?”
His lips parted as his chest rose with a deep breath, then his gaze dropped to my mouth, and his expression tightened. He looked . . . he looked hungry. “I have lots of ideas.”

Tyri and Quinn’s worlds collide when they’re accepted by the Baldur Junior Philharmonic Orchestra. As the rift between robots and humans deepens, Tyri and Quinn’s love of music brings them closer together, making Tyri question where her loyalties lie and Quinn question his place in the world. This was a really unique and fun read. I was really looking forward to reading this, and even though I didn't love it, I still enjoyed it.

The story follows Tyri and Quinn, both aspiring musicians, and both struggling to find their place in the world. Their city is on the brick on civil war between robots and humans, and they both must decide which side they stand on. Told in dual POV, I enjoyed the characters of Tyri and Quinn. It was easy to sympathize with them, even if Tyri did annoy me at times. They both shared a great connection because of their love of music, but this did lead to a bit of insta-love. I think their relationship could have been a little more fleshed out.
I loved the world the book was set in. It reminded me of the movie I, Robot and I love that film. As with other sci-fi books, I worry that some of the technical stuff will go over my head but that wasn't the case here. There was just enough to keep you interested but not too much to distract from the rest of the story.

Overall, while I didn't love it, this book still entertained me and held my attention. It was a interesting exploration of what it really means to be human. The ending is very open ended, with a lot of questions still unanswered. I haven't read anything about this being a series but I really hope it is because there is still so much that needs to be sorted out.

Fuck it.

Maybe it was the alcohol clouding his thoughts, or the fact that he’d been dying to taste her since they were sixteen, but he kissed her. He kissed her like he was drowning and she was the only source of air available. He kissed her with all the madness, need, and desperation pounding through him like a marching band. And she moaned deliciously and melted into him. Her arms tightened and she staggered up onto her toes for more. Her breasts crushed into the plane of his chest, the nipples hard and prodding despite the layers of clothes between them. She tasted like champagne and the chocolate off the cake. His already over intoxicated brain went straight into the red zone, the point of no return.

“Stop!” He viciously pried his mouth off hers. “Stop or God help me, I’ll take you right here.”

Eyes a stormy blue of all the emotions roaring through him, she stared up at him with her cheeks flushed and her lips a wet, swollen mockery driving him to madness.

“I’m not easy,” she whispered, her voice a hoarse croak.

Jared wanted to laugh, but couldn’t find the sense. “Jesus, baby, there’s nothing easy about you.”

BLOG TOUR - Turtle Bay by Tiffany King

I am so excited to be on the blog tour for this book and to be able to share an excerpt with you guys! The book sounds awesome and I can't wait to read it. And how cute is that cover!

Turtle Bay by Tiffany King
Genre: YA Contemporary
Release Date: 20th March 2015

If you're a teenager in a small, rural area, how do you exist when your eccentric, free-spirited parents are the town freaks everyone laughs at?

For sixteen-year-old Rainbow Honeywell—or Rain, as she insists on being called—the answer was to become the queen of all pranks. She never wanted to be a troublemaker, but the label quickly stuck when everyone in Huntsville, Kansas, became a target. All she wanted was to deflect the negative attention off her parents, but Rain's plan backfired to the max, landing her in a heap of trouble with the local authorities and expelled from high school.

An unexpected inheritance offers Rain an opportunity for a new beginning when she and her family move across the country to the quaint beach community of Turtle Bay, Florida.

Determined to make the best of her second chance, Rain vows to walk the straight and narrow, hoping her parents will fly under the radar while she soaks up some fun in the sun, sandy beaches, and hot, tanned guys. Unfortunately, she picks the wrong new friends, and a late night party lands her back in the kind of trouble she had been hoping to avoid. As the newbie in town with a record, Rain takes the brunt of the punishment when an unforgiving judge chooses to make an example out of her and slaps her with enough community service hours to keep her busy until she is old and gray.

Facing the harsh reality of paying for the actions of others while atoning for her own past sins, Rain is paired up with Josh Shaw, a judgmental local lifeguard whose love for the beach and the environment is eclipsed only by his distaste for those who trash it. As far as Josh is concerned, Rain is guilty and got what she deserved, regardless of her side of the story. To make matters worse, a tropical storm sits in the Atlantic, threatening to wreak havoc on the small beach community.

Things slowly change as Rain begins to appreciate her surroundings through Josh's eyes, proving she is not the person he thinks she is. Their feelings for one another blossom as the tropical storm grows into a hurricane and bears down on Turtle Bay. With impending danger looming, the small beach community must come together in order to ride out the storm.

"What are you doing here?" I demanded, jumping to my feet. Instinctively, I did a quick survey of my attire to make sure I looked okay.
"Rainbow, don't be rude," Butch chastised.
"Rain," I said through clenched teeth as Josh's lips twitched into a half smile.
"Don't be rude, Rain-n-n," Butch repeated. "Josh here came over to help me identify the eggs I found back by the shed. He's an expert in that area."
"Well, I wouldn't go as far as expert. I just know a little more about the animals in this area than your average person," he said, never taking his eyes from mine.
"Why didn't you tell me he was coming over?" I asked, glaring at Butch through the screen.
"Didn't I mention that part? Huh, my mind must be slipping in my old age," he said, shaking his head. "Anyway, I bow to the expertise you have, Josh. Florida wildlife is a whole lot different than what you'd find in Kansas," he continued, guiding Josh to the far corner of the yard where the small gardening shed sat.
I sank down on the chaise lounge as Player swiped at the pen in my hand. My swift reaction to Josh had caused me to feel slightly out of breath. I swear I needed to seek medical help where he was concerned. The constant hot and cold feelings I had for him were more than a little disturbing. He did look hot in regular clothes. Not that the red lifeguard muscle shirt I was used to seeing him in didn't suit his physique well.
"There's a special place in the loony bin for someone like you," I mumbled to myself, running a hand over Player's back as he purred loudly.

A lethal sword.

A dangerous mission.

A seventeen-year-old girl finding her way in a world that is nothing like she remembered.

When Maylin Kavanagh’s parents surrendered her to The Program, they swore it was for her protection. After being confined in a small underground cell for nearly two years, she is finally released.

But the world has changed.

Most of the populace has been wiped out by a deadly disease, and the rules of society have regressed. But that’s not the worst of it. When her group is kidnapped by a band of rogue vampires, Maylin realizes the decline of the human population has brought other races to the forefront—races she never knew existed. And now they’re all battling for survival and power.

In his father’s absence, Thane Warwick must lead his people. He has two priorities: find his father and find humans who can supply blood to his tribe. Immediately intrigued by his latest captive, he becomes interested in Maylin for more than just her blood, but he soon discovers that he must make a choice between his father and her.

Despite their attraction, Maylin and Thane each have an agenda, and only one can be the victor.

VAMPIRE'S BANE is the first book in the VAMPIRE'S BANE series. While it does end at a natural turning point in the heroine's journey, it is an ongoing story, and not all questions will be answered. You will need to read this series in order.

Teaser from when Thane and Maylin first meet:
“I said ‘enough.’” The man strolled calmly toward us. As he reached the soft glow of the fire, I realized that he was tall, his body lean and muscular. He didn’t look nearly as old as I had first guessed. His height and authoritative voice disguised his youthfulness.
“Thane, surely you realize we’re hungry and there are so few of them left,” my captor implored in a soft Irish lilt.
“So you’ll solve our problem by killing them?”
“I won’t, but….”
Even though he still gripped my head, I took advantage of their distraction and snaked my gun across my waist, pointing the barrel between my side and left arm. I squeezed the trigger, sinking a bullet into my captor’s stomach.
He grunted and hissed air out between his teeth, but his grip never lessened. How was it possible that gunshots seemed to have little effect on him?
In seconds, the one they had called Thane gripped my wrist, the sudden movement knocking the gun from my hand. He shoved my captor away from me and contained me with one arm wrapped around my body like an impenetrable band of iron.
Thane chuckled softly over my head. “Let’s not underestimate this one.”
